        TIENIE (CHRISTINE) PAULUSMA Peacefully at the Golden Door, Mom passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her loving husband, Charlie in 2000, she is survived by her two children, Joan (Vic) Proteau of St. Adolphe, MB and Chas (Pauline) Paulusma of St. Vital; grandchildren, Laurie (John) Henderson, David Proteau, Wendy Proteau, Jason Proteau, Karen Paulusma (Gary Dewit), Allison (Chris) Kulbaski, Kristen (Darryl) Reimer, and Michelle Paulusma; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Riley, Derrick, Tyler, Brian, Danielle, Nicole, Connor, Madison, Travis, Sheldon, Mackenzie and Ayden; and sister Ella (Gordon) Trick; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Elsie; and many nieces and nephews. Tienie was predeceased by her brothers, Dirk, George and Jacob; sisters, Florence, Elizabeth, Nellie, Gretchen and Florie. Mom was born on November 29, 1916 in Balk, Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1929. She married Charlie in 1938 and eventually settled in St. Germaine, MB where they were market gardeners until retirement in St. Vital in 1981. She was a warm and loving person who enjoyed family and friends and loved cooking and taking care of their home and yard which was adorned with many flowers. Special thanks to the Golden Door Geriatric Centre who treated her with compassion and respect throughout the last 10 to 11 years of her life. A memorial service will take place on Monday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Meadowood United Church, 1111 Dakota St., St. Vital with Rev. Linda Churchill officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
